The Netherlands is home to many species of fish. Unfortunately, in the past the amount of species used to be a lot higher. One of the species that’s almost extinct as of now, is ‘de Steur’ (the Sturgeon). We got the honour to build an educational exposition at the Rotterdam Zoo (Diergaarde Blijdorp) about de Steur for ARK Natuurontwikkeling. At this exposition, visitors got the chance to learn the history of de Steur, the reason why it almost got extinct. This was to tie in with the changes made to the area Haringvliet that aims to bring a positive change in the life of de Steur.
